Malossi MHR
The MHR series from Malossi is generally available in 3 categories for the most popular models:
- MHR Replica
- MHR Racing
- MHR Team
The 3 model series differ in terms of performance and competitiveness. The MHR Team series includes the top-of-the-line models with outstanding performance for racing. The MHR Racing is in the middle, and the MHR Replica adopts the basic features of the higher versions, with the emphasis on reliability for everyday use rather than maximum performance for the race track.
Malossi Overrange
The Overrange CVT series comprises a limited number of products. It is a complete Overrange CVT with all associated components.
Overrange CVTs are larger than standard CVTs and thus have a larger adjustment range. Overrange CVTs are primarily suitable for heavily tuned engines. The Malossi Overrange variator will get the full power out of your engine.
The kits usually include:
- A complete CVT front pulley
- A complete torque drive / rear pulley
- Different CVT weights
- A contra spring
- Grease / lubricant
Scooter CVT Kit
The CVT system of a scooter includes a number of components responsible for transmitting engine power to the rear wheel.
Variator kits consist of:
- Variator
- CVT weights
- V-belt
Depending on the manufacturer, CVT kits may also include one or more contra springs or a clutch and clutch bell.
The different types of CVT kits
- CVT kit original: these kits contain OEM quality CVT components, the CVT transmission can be reset to the original condition.
- CVT kit Sport: Sport transmissions differ from OEM transmissons by a lighter variator, a modified angle and a special lining aimed at improving top speed as well as acceleration. In most cases the kits come with a reinforced belt.
- CVT kit Overrange / Oversize: Oversize kits have the same improvements as the Sport variants, but are also characterized by larger dimensions and are used with a longer oversize V-belt. This configuration improves the performance of your scooter quite a bit.
To simplify the installation of a new CVT, we strongly recommend the use of appropriate tools, especially a piston stopper, which is very practical for the removal and installation of a CVT transmission.

The variator is one of the most important components in a scooter. One of Malossi's top quality variators is the Overrange variator. Malossi added other high-end components to improve power transmission even more.
The entire kit was redesigned and improved. It includes an improved Malossi Overrange variator with optimized roller tracks and a ramp plate with sliders and sleeve. The most striking new element is "La Furia Rossa", a great-looking red rear torque drive pulley. It is CNC-machined from top quality aluminium, with drilled small holes for improved cooling and better grip.
It comes with 2 sets of roller weights, a special Polyamid-reinforced drive belt, a torque spring, shims and washers and a tube of high-resistant grease.
The Overrange variator is constantly worked on by Malossi engineers and boasts many state-of-the-art features - the drive belt has better grip, heat dissipation was improved and it is more robust and resistant.
