Compared to the original ECU, Malossi has completely modified the ignition timing performance maps and increased the rev limit to 15,000 RPMs.
The new Digitronic controls the ignition timing and SAS valve.
Ignition Timing Performance Map
The ignition timing is controlled by performing a linear interpolation of a tri-dimensional performance map, containing 16 break points for engine speed and 8 break points for engine temperature.
SAS Valve Performance Map
The secondary air supply to the base of the throttle body enables the engine management system to compensate for the non-linearity typical in carburettor systems.
The SAS Valve (Secondary Air Source) is controlled by the ECU which performs a linear interpolation of a performance map, containing 16 break points for engine speed and 8 break points for engine temperature.
The SAS Valve reduces emissions and optimizes engine performance for all operating conditions.
